Beloved wife of the late Alan (Hav) Rogers. Loving mother of Cherisse Rogers-Bryanton (Wade), Borden Carleton and Ashtin (Marilyn), Toronto, Ontario and grandmother to Kirstin Bryanton. Born in Summerside, P.E.I. on September 5, 1958. Dear daughter of the late William and Hazel MacDonald, and daughter-in- law of the late Haviland and Doris Rogers. Sister to Vernon MacDonald, Central Bedeque; Lloyd (Dianne), Borden-Carleton; Mary MacDonald, Borden-Carleton. Sister-in-law to Erma MacDonald, Corner Brook, NL; and Patti Anger-MacDonald, Dunville, ON; James (Nora), Charlottetown; Lowell (Anna), Borden-Carleton; Charles (Velma), Summerside; Darlene (Art) MacDonald, Shamrock; Lynn (Edwin) Hughes, Shamrock; Lorraine (Dennis) Lowther, Cape Traverse; Leonard (Janet), Cornwall; Alanna (Jack) Wilkins, Saint John, N.B.; Verna Hurley, Moncton, N.B.; Allison (Jennifer), Belle River; Paul (Carrie), Bedeque; Danny, North Tryon and Leanne, Kinkora. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers Joe and Gerald MacDonald, and sister-in-law Lyn MacDonald. Resting at Lawless Funeral Home, Kinkora. Kenneth Victor Arsenault

Suddenly at his late residence in Stanley Bridge of Kenneth Victor Arsenault, husband of Norma (Pineau) Arsenault, aged 72 years.  Besides his wife he is also survived by three daughters.  He was a son of the late Frederick and Etta Arsenault.  Resting at Lawless Funeral Home, Kinkora.  No visitation by personal request.  Private family service will be held at the Funeral home.  Interment will be later in St. Malachy’s Parish Cemetery.

Charles Lloyd Collicut

At South Shore Villa, Crapaud on Thursday, February 13, 2014 of “Charles” Lloyd Collicut, formerly of Charlottetown, aged 67 years. Born in O’Leary on January 13, 1947, he was the son of the late Johnson Collicut and Margaret Jones. Brother of Elsie (Collicut), Winnipeg; Leta DesRoche, O’Leary; Eileen Ellis, Kinkora; Norma Noonan, Kinkora and Percy, Borden-Carleton. Predeceased by brothers Earl and Glenn.  Resting at the Lawless Funeral Home, Kinkora.  Visiting hours on Monday, February 17 from 2 – 5 pm.  Funeral service on Tuesday, February 18 at the funeral home at 3 pm, conducted by Rev. Catherine Stuart. Gerard John Benoit Gaudet

Peacefully at Prince County Hospital, Gerard John Benoit  Gaudet (Joe) of Kinkora , born on December 24, 1943, died Friday, December 13, 2013.  Beloved husband of Jean (Harper) Gaudet.  Loving father of Kirby (Teira), Ottawa; Barry (Danielle), Ottawa;  Rodney (June), Torbay, NL and Derek (Katherine), Charlottetown.  Cherished Grampy of Kyla, Emma, Isabella and Hannah and step grandson Noah.  Also survived by brothers Hercules (Irma), Cascumpec; David (Evelyn), Tignish Shore; Terry (Elaine) Tignish Shore and sister Stella (Leonard LeClair), Tignish.   Survived by many nieces and nephews and by sisters-in-law, Doreen (Roger Chaisson), Jeanette Harper and brothers-in-law, Cletus (Shirley) Harper and Joey (Yvonne) Harper.  Predeceased by his parents Edmund and Alice Gaudet, in-laws Daniel and Thelma Harper and a brother-in-law James Harper.  Visitation will be at Kinkora Place, Kinkora on Monday, December 16 from 2 – 4 and 6 – 9 pm, and on Tuesday, December 17 from 11am to time of funeral.  Funeral will be on Tuesday, December 17th at St. Malachy’s Church, Kinkora at 12 pm.  Interment in the parish cemetery.  Donations in memory of Gerard may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or St. Malachy’s Parish Cemetery Fund.  Arrangements are entrusted to Lawless Funeral Home, Kinkora.

Jean-Paul (J.P.) Pronovost

Born in Maniwaki, Quebec on October 3, 1939, he was a son of the late Paul Emile Pronovost and the late Hermone Pronovost. Survived by his loving wife, Cathy (nee Snowdon); stepchildren: Heather Carr (Chris Bohrer) of Mount Hope, Ontario; Travis Newport (Jeff Morse) of Dartmouth, NS; daughter: Marie Claude of Quebec; sisters: Paulette Storey of Calgary, Alberta (Deborah Klein (Storey), Sandra Moreland (Storey), Ron Storey, James Storey and their families) and sister Nicole Pronovost (Alexander Pronovost); brother: Rejan (Louis, Peter, Paul, David and Mark Pronovost) all of Quebec. At the Pallative Care Unit of the Prince County Hospital on Monday, October 14, 2013 of Paul McIver of Middleton, aged 56 years.  Born in Summerside on May 25, 1957, Paul was a son of Margaret McIver-Hughes (nee McIsaac) and the late St. Clair McIver.  Survived by his wife Deborah McIver (nee Thomas), his mother Margaret McIver-Hughes (nee McIsaac) and also his sons Adam, Chad (Megan) and Luke (Hillary); granddaughter Ella Grace McIver; brothers James (Karen), Bernard (Rose Mary); Michael (Mary), David (Peggy Sue); sisters Catherine (Patrick McSweeney), Patricia (Mike Gallant) and Jacqueline (Kenny Lawless); brothers-in-law Barry (Nellie Thomas), Leslie (Kim Thomas) and Shane (Glenda Thomas); sisters-in-law Joyce (Bobby Gallant) and Marlene (Ed MacLaren); mother-in-law Martha Thomas Perry (nee Cherpak); step-father-in-law Lester Perry. Mary Matilda Lanigan

Lanigan: Peacefully at  Prince County Hospital, Summerside on Friday, September 27, 2013 of Mary Lanigan (nee MacDonald) of Kinkora, aged 91 years.  Wife of the late Lawrence Lanigan.  Born in Monticello on January 16, 1922, she was a daughter of the late Joseph MacDonald and Elizabeth (O’Hanley) MacDonald.  Loving mother of Karen Lanigan, Linda (Vince) Oickle and Jerry Lanigan.  Mary was the last surviving member of her family.  Predeceased by Sadie, Daniel, Johnnie, Roddie, Andrew and Alec.  Survived by sisters-in-law Hilda and Frances MacDonald.  Loving auntie to Elaine, Joey, Lennie, Bernadette, Lorraine, Daniel, Bobby, Charlie, Helen, Rose, Cathy, Heather, Joe, Gary, Keith, David, Sherry and their families.  Visiting hours at Kinkora Place, Kinkora on Monday, September 30 from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 pm.  Funeral at St. Malachy’s Church, Kinkora on Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at 10 am.  CWL Members will say prayers on Monday at 6:30 pm at Kinkora Place.  Interment in the parish cemetery.  Donations in memory of Mary made be made to St. Malachy’s Cemetery Fund.  Arrangements entrusted to Lawless Funeral Home, Kinkora.

John Charles (Bud) Folland

Folland: Peacefully at the Prince County Hospital surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, September 28, 2013 of John Charles (Bud) Folland. Born in Freetown on July 27, 1934 to his late parents Roland and Elizabeth (Bessie MacDonald). He is survived by his wife Rosalie (nee MacIsaac); children Judy O’Connor (Pat); Mary Ellen McAvinn (Damien); Jo Ann Smith (Desi); Paul (Hope); Pauline St. Onge (Steven) and Andy (Suzanne). Loving grandfather to Amanda, John Patrick, Melissa, Jonathon, Shari-Lynn, Jacob, Candice, Lacey, Spencer, Brandon, Brooke, Alex, Isaac, Ethan, Rachael, Liam and Madeline. Also 6 great-grandchildren. Bud is also survived by sisters Theresa McIver, Joyce Rooney and Helen Green. He was predeceased by his infant daughter Margaret Alice (Peggy); brother Lorne (in infancy); son-in-law Robert Normand; brother-in-laws Eugene McIver, and Joe Rooney.
